Ready to Get Rid of Wrinkles? Our Top Picks for 2009
Are you ready to turn back the clock? Are you feeling frustrated by all of the lotions, potions, supplements and serums on the market, and just want to find what works? We researched the top skin-care products – from drugstore brands to "dermaceutical" companies - then rated and reviewed the top three. Our results are based on polls, personal research, interviews with dermatologists, and scientific review.

We ranked our picks from 5 – 1, with 5 being the best. Products were evaluated based on ingredients, results and value.

iQ Derma SkinTensive
It comes as no surprise that the smartest anti-aging skincare comes from a company called iQ.

iQ Derma’s SkinTensive contains a whopping 41% active ingredients. To put that in perspective, consider that most of the department store brands barely contain even 3% active ingredients. For value alone, SkinTensive delivers a significantly higher concentration of active ingredients than the “designer” moisturizers — more than 10 times the amount of anti-aging actives, in most cases — for a fraction of what some brands charge.

What about the results? Amazing. One of the SkinTensive users we spoke to said that since using the product, she is frequently confused with her college-aged daughter! Another user said that her face hasn’t looked so rested, healthy and relaxed since her honeymoon. We noticed the same results: Firmer skin, reduction of wrinkles, discoloration and fine lines, and greater firmness and elasticity.

The best part about SkinTensive is that that for a limited time they are offering this age-reversing miracle as a free trial.

VitalRezV
Our second pick is actually a skin-care supplement. RezV is a pill that contains the key antioxidants contained in red wine in a super concentrated formula, along with other ingredients shown to revive skin and roll back the aging process. As an unexpected bonus, we learned that these supplements also increase metabolism and circulation, to give us that healthy-skin glow from the inside-out.

RezV would easily have been our top choice, if it weren’t for the alarming news we recently read about supplements: Apparently the FDA has not approved any of the RezV claims and supplements are not regulated by the FDA. In other words, any company can put virtually anything in a pill and label it a “supplement,” even if it doesn’t do anything it claims. This made us a little uneasy, so as much as we love the product, we had to put it at Number 2.

Revive Intensite Volumizing Serum
Do you believe in miracles? You will after using this amazing serum for a few weeks. Sagging skin is plumped and perfected. Crows’ feet, puppet lines and other trouble zones get zapped, and skin becomes dewy and radiant. Only downside? At $600 a bottle, we have to choose between our mortgage or moisturizer! Revive’s Volumizing Serum is a lovely product and we experienced great results, but in this economy, we’re not about to put vanity over value. Especially when there are other terrific wrinkle-reducers that do the same job for less.
